Super Turbo Weekend at Full Tilt Poker
Full Tilt Poker will be hosting a Super Turbo Weekend event that starts on Friday 11 June and will culminate in a $100,000 Super Turbo Step Freeroll on Sunday 13 June. The idea behind the tournament is to showcase ‘the fast-paced excitement of Full Tilt Poker’s Super Turbo Sit & Go’ games, and we have to say that it ticks all the right boxes as far as we are concerned…
For those of you who haven’t played Super Turbo Sit and Go tournaments at Full Tilt Poker before, we can tell you that they take around a quarter of the time required to play a regular nine-handed Sit and Go game (15 minutes instead of 60 minutes). That speed is achieved in part by giving each online poker room player a starting stack of just ten times the big blind at the beginning of the game. As for recognising Super Turbo games in the lobby, simply look for the yellow T symbols.
Your aim in the Super Turbo Weekend is to get yourself a seat in the Super Turbo Step Freeroll on Sunday, and to do that you need to collect four pieces of a ticket. And how do you do that? It’s actually quite simple – just cash in when playing Super Turbo Sit and Go games and you’ll receive one or two pieces according to the cost of the buy-in, as follows:
A buy-in of less than $5 gives one piece of ticket to those who cash in.
A buy-in of $5 or more gives two pieces of ticket to those who cash in.
When you have collected four pieces of ticket then you can participate in the $100,000 Super Turbo Step Freeroll tournament which starts at 18:30 ET on Sunday 13 June. Prizes will include over 2,000 Steps tickets and if you manage to finish in the top 20 you will win a Step 7 ticket worth $2,100. That means you would be just one game away from winning yourself a WSOP Main Event package worth $12K.
