Steps Challenge at PartyPoker

The Steps Challenge is so-called because it involves six steps. The first step costs you $3 and from there you can win your way up to the sixth step and play for a first prize of $2,000! The Steps Challenge begins with you entering a Step 1 game for $3. This is a 10 seater Sit n Go game (as are all of the games in the Steps Challenge) and the players who finish first and second get entry into a Step 2 game. The players who finish in third and fourth place each get a free entry into another Step 1 game so that they can try again. Players who finish in fifth place or worse win nothing from a Step 1 game.
In Step 2, 3, 4 and 5 games the prizes are as follows: Finish in first or second place and you’ll win an entry into the next step. Finish in third or fourth place and you’ll win entry into another game on the same step. Finish in fifth, sixth or seventh place and you will win entry into a Step 1 game so that you can start over. Players who finish in eighth place or worse win nothing.
The Step 6 game is the highest in the Steps Challenge at PartyPoker, and the one in which the big money is to be won. Win this game and you’ll be $2,000 richer. Finish in second place and you’ll win $1,000. Players finishing in third, fourth and fifth position win $700, $500 and $500, respectively. And all for a $3 investment!
