Rake Races at InterPoker
Everyone who visits online poker rooms on a regular basis is naturally competitive, but those who play at InterPoker this month have even more reason to unleash their competitive spirit thanks to Rake Races, each of which awards thousands in cash prizes! At the time of writing one Rake Race has already taken place and a second is underway, but there are two more scheduled for August which you can participate in if you fancy getting involved.
The Chicane Rake Race starts at 00:01 GMT on Monday 16 August and ends at 23:59 GMT on Sunday 22 August. As the term “rake race” suggests, the amount of rake that you pay when playing in cash games, sit and go tournaments and multi-table tournaments is the thing that ultimately determines who wins a slice of the prize pool. Every time you pay €0.25 in rake when playing the game mentioned a moment ago, you will earn 1 Race Point. Your aim is to earn as many Race Points as you can, so the more poker games you play, the more chance you will have of winning a cash prize.
The ten players who earn the most Race Points will each win a cash prize. The prize schedule for The Chicane Rake Race is as follows:
1st place pays €1,000
2nd place pays €500
3rd place pays €250
4th place pays €200
5th place pays €150
6th place pays €100
7th place pays €90
8th place pays €80
9th place pays €70
10th place pays €60
The Track and Yield Rake Race starts at 00:01 GMT on Monday 23 August and ends at 23:59 GMT on Sunday 29 August. This Rake Race works in exactly the same way as The Chicane, but the prize schedule is slightly different, as shown below:

2nd place pays €600
3rd place pays €300
4th place pays €150
5th place pays €100
6th place pays €90
7th place pays €80
8th place pays €70
9th place pays €60
10th place pays €50
All of the cash prizes in the Rake Races are completely separate to any profits that you make from the poker games themselves, so our advice is to focus on playing great poker to try and make as much profit as possible, and if you happen to win a Rake Race prize in addition, so much the better.
