PokerStars UKIPT
The schedule for the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) has been released, and you can win yourself a seat in one of the big offline events by playing in satellites and qualifiers at the PokerStars online poker room. The first UKIPT event takes place in Galway, Ireland, from 11-14 December, 2009 and the tour comes to an end with a final event at the Metropole Hotel in London, England from 2-8 October, 2010. Along the way, the UKIPT will stage events in Manchester, Coventry, Nottingham, Killarney, Brighton, Dublin and also in a Scottish city that has yet to be confirmed.
The full UKIPT schedule looks like this:
11-14 December 2009 – Galway – €2,000 Buy-in
11-14 February 2010 – Manchester – £500 + £50 Buy-in
08-11 April 2010 – Coventry – £500 + £50 Buy-in
13-16 May 2010 – Nottingham – £500 + £50 Buy-in
24-27 June 2010 – Killarney – €1,000 + €100 Buy-in
15-18 July 2010 – Brighton – £1,000 + £100 Buy-in
Scotland event to be confirmed
09-12 September 2010 – Dublin – €1,000 + €100 Buy-in
02-08 October 2010 – London – £5,000 + £300 Buy-in
As you can see, it doesn’t matter where you live in the UK, there is sure to be at least one PokerStars UKIPT event within reasonable travelling distance. And because you can win seats to various events online you don’t even need to stump up the buy-in to participate – you can win your entry in satellites and qualifiers.
