Play Against Legends with Partypoker
PartyPoker is giving online poker room players the chance to play against genuine legends of the poker world in the WPT Legends of Poker tournament that will be held in Los Angeles next month. If you were to buy into the tournament directly it would cost you $5,200, but if you play at PartyPoker you could win yourself an $8,000 package that covers not only the buy-in but also gives you $2,000 spending money and seven nights accommodation in a luxury hotel.
The $8,000 packages can be won in a weekly satellite that gives one package for every twenty registered participants, and you can either buy-in to one of these satellite tournaments for $400 + $30 or you could participate in one or more qualifiers for far less. In fact, it is possible to win an $8,000 package for free!
Daily freerolls allow those who finish in the final 50 to get a free entry to a $1 rebuy sub qualifier, which feeds in turn to a $43 + $3 daily qualifier. Another route into the daily qualifier is via daily speed qualifiers that have a buy-in of just $5. The daily qualifier then feeds into the main weekly satellite game.
However you get to the weekly satellite game, having a 1 in 20 chance of winning a WPT Legends of Poker Package is pretty impressive, and if you succeed you can expect to be playing against big name professionals in August. Because the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker tournament has its own rules, no player under the age of 21 will be allowed to participate, so do bear this in mind as well as the fact that you will need to be able to get to Los Angeles and stay there for the duration of the tournament.
