Lord of the Rungs at Mansion Poker
No, that isn’t a typo in our headline, Lord of the Rungs is the name of an ongoing sit and go competition at Mansion Poker which makes it possible for online poker room players to turn $0.50 into as much as $150 or $10 into as much as $4,500 in as few as five sit and go games. Each sit and go poker game that features in Lord of the Rungs has 10 players, and you don’t necessarily have to win each game outright to make progress. Intrigued? Then read on…
There are two Lord of the Rungs competitions, one for low stakes players and one for high stakes players, but both work in a very similar way. The idea is that there are five rungs on a ladder, and each rung represents a different level of sit and go game. You can buy in directly to any rung, with the cheapest rung being the bottom one (level 1). Perform well in a game and you will progress to the next highest rung, and so on, until you find yourself in a game on the top rung (level 5). Perform well in the top rung game and you will walk away with a cash prize that is many times the direct buy-in cost of the earlier rungs. The exact prize structures are as follows:
Low Stake Lord of the Rungs
Level 1 buy in is $0.45 + $0.50 : Finish in 1st or 2nd place to proceed to Level 2. Finish in 3rd, 4th or 5th place and you will get another go at Level 1.
