Extreme Points Race at Doyles Room
Online poker room players who fancy playing for a share of $150,000 in April should head over to Doyles Room, where a $150,000 Extreme Points Race will be running from Thursday 01 April until Friday 30 April. The Extreme Points Race comprises four weekly races, each boasting $25,000 of prize money, and one monthly race that has $50,000 up for grabs.
As the title of this event indicates, the $150,000 Extreme Points Race is all about earning points. We are of course talking about Frequent Player Points, or FPPs, and the way you earn these is by playing real-money poker games. The more poker you play, the more FPPs you will earn, and the more chance you will have of winning weekly races as well as the overall monthly race.
Each weekly race pays out cash prizes to the 200 players who manage to earn the most points, and the race dates are as follows:
- Race 1 starts on 01 April and runs until 09 April
- Race 2 starts on 10 April and runs until 16 April
- Race 3 starts on 17 April and runs until 23 April
- Race 4 starts on 24 April and runs until 30 April
The number of points that you earn each week will be tracked and the 300 players who earn the most points overall will share the $50,000 monthly race prize pool at the end of April. However, it isn’t quite that simple because the number of points that you earn each week will be multiplied, as follows:
- Points earned in Race 1 are not multiplied
- Points earned in Race 2 are multiplied x2
- Points earned in Race 3 are multiplied x3
- Points earned in Race 4 are multiplied x4
Our advice to anyone who wants to have a decent shot at winning a prize in the Extreme Points Race event is to play regularly throughout the month and to consider pushing a little harder as the month progresses. Of course, your primary concern should be to win money from the online poker games that you play, but keeping the multiplication of points in mind as you do so and adjusting your approach slightly to take maximum advantage of it can’t be a bad thing.
Visit Doyles Room today to get your account in order (or to open one if you don’t have one already) so that you can hit the ground running, and good luck in the race!
