Daniel's Room at PokerStars
High stakes cash poker games are almost as exciting to watch as they are to play, and PokerStars have given online poker room players the chance to experience life on both sides of the fence with the opening of Daniel’s Room. This is a new area in the PokerStars lobby which features high stakes cash tables that have been “designed and endorsed by poker legend and Team Pro” Daniel Negreanu.
Players who take a seat at one of the tables in Daniel’s Room will be able to play Daniel himself as well as other high-stakes poker fans. All tables are six-handed and require a minimum buy-in of 100 big blinds. The maximum buy-in is 250 big blinds. Tables with the following limits are available right now, and PokerStars say that others are on the horizon:
$20/$40 ($10 ante)
$50/$100 ($25 ante)
$100/$200 ($50 ante)
Obviously, Daniel Negreanu isn’t online 24 hours a day, so you may need to check back a few times if you want to play against Daniel himself. Of course, you are free to play other high-stakes poker fans as and when you wish. One bonus for those players who impress Daniel with their skills is that they can be invited to participate in a PokerStars television show in the future – not a bad accolade at all!
Those fans of high-stakes poker who don’t have the nerve (or bankroll) to take part in the games personally can still access Daniel’s Room as spectators and watch the high rollers do their stuff. Even better, if Daniel himself is playing you will be able to chat with him as he plays, so you could well learn a thing or two that will help you to improve your own performance.
