Bounty Stars of Poker at PokerStars online poker room gives all UK players the chance to play heads-up for $5,000 against a Star of Poker in a game that will be broadcast on the Sky Sports television channel later this year. You have until Wednesday 11 November to qualify, so if you are a UK resident aged 18 or over and you aren’t camera-shy, you it is well worth getting involved. You can enter one of the Freeroll Qualifier tournaments that take place every day at 6pm UK time. Finish in the top 9 and you will win a seat in the Weekly Final.
Enter a $1 Qualifier at 6:45pm each day. If you take this route then you will need to finish in the top 27 to win a seat in the Weekly Final.
If you would rather use your Frequent Player Points to have a stab at the Bounty Stars of Poker, and you are a GoldStar VIP of higher, then you can buy into a VIP Qualifier for 100FPP on Sunday 1 November or Wednesday 11 November at 7pm UK time. Win one of these tournaments outright and you instantly win a seat to the television show!
The Weekly Finals take place on Sundays at 6:30pm UK time and if you win one of these tournaments then you win yourself a seat in the television show. The top 15% of finishers win a prize, and the total prize pool in each Weekly Final is worth £1,000.
Those of you who are good enough to win a seat to the Bounty Stars of Poker television show will also receive $500 to cover your expenses. You will need to be free to show up for filming on the dates specified by PokerStars (see the PokerStars web site for full details) but if you can do that and you perform well, you just might find yourself facing a Star of Poker in a heads-up situation. Keep your cool and if you manage to beat the Star of Poker you will win $5,000!
