Betfair Poker Open Vienna
A Betfair Poker Open Vienna tournament will be taking place from 19-21 February, 2010 at the Poker Royale casino in Wiener Neustadt, south of Vienna. The three day event will boast a prize pool of up to €160,000 and you can buy in directly for a very modest €200 + €20 or you can win yourself a package by participating in qualifiers and/or freeroll tournaments at the Betfair online poker room.
The freeroll opportunities start on Friday 16 October and take place at 18:00 every day except Thursdays. Finish in the top ten of one of these daily freerolls and you will win a seat to a Weekly Freeroll Final.
The Weekly Freeroll Final takes place every Thursday at 18:30 and the winner will receive a package to the Betfair Poker Open Vienna worth $600.
If you would prefer to enter a qualifier that you have to pay for (and enjoy a greater chance of winning a package) then you can either enter a Daily Satellite or buy-in to a Weekly Final.
The Daily Satellite game takes place at 20:00 every day except Sundays. The buy-in costs $6 + $0.60 and there will be 1 seat to the Weekly Final for every four entrants, with at least 4 seats guaranteed as a minimum. In other words, you’ll have a 1 in 4 chance of winning a seat based on luck alone – add your skill to the mix and the odds of you succeeding could be even better.
The Weekly Final takes place every Sunday at 18:30, and if you haven’t won yourself a seat in a Daily Satellite then you can buy-in directly for $20 + $2. There will be 1 package to the Betfair Poker Open Vienna for every 30 entrants, with at least 1 package guaranteed as a minimum.
However you win, your $600 package will include your buy-in to the Betfair Poker Open Vienna tournament, accommodation at the Wiener Neustadt, a shuttle service from your hotel to the casino and access to the casino buffet for the three days of the tournament.
Fancy your chances? Then pay a visit to Betfair Poker today and take part in the Daily Satellite or book your place in the Weekly Final. You can only win if you’re in!
